Paula Abdul is finally talking about the death of a fan. Paula Goodspeed was found shot in her car in an apparent suicide near the Abdul estate in Southern California.

Abdul is pulling no punches, accusing “Idol” Producers of ignoring her concerns over allowing an obsessed fan to appear on the “American Idol” TV talent show. Goodspeed appeared several times on the program. “It’s fun for them to cause me stress,” Abdul said. “This was something that would make good television.” Abdul told Barbara Walters during an interview on her Sirius XM radio show.

“I said this girl is a stalker of mine and please do not let her in,” Abdul said while chatting with Walters. According to Abdul, Goodspeed had written her “disturbing letters” for almost 18 years and maintained a restraining order against the woman at times.

When Walters asked Abdul the reason she remains on the hit FOX TV show, Abdul replied: “I’m under contract.”

Fox and Fremantle Media North America, which produces “American Idol,” have declined to comment.
